Batang River. Tangkahan specialises in eco-tourism activities like jungle
trekking and Elephant Patrol trekking to protect the jungle of Gunung leuser National Park.
if you interesting to visit this place you can Drive from medan abou 4 hours and you can take one night stay at banglow some where tangkahan. Beside trekking by elephant you can visit Waterfall and Hotspring.after visiting Tangkahan if you mind you can continue to visit Bukit lawang by four wheel Drive.
